The Music of Queen | Jan 20 | HAMILTON — Featuring classic hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, and Under Pressure, this is a rock symphony celebration of the iconic Freddie Mercury and one of the world’s biggest bands.
Walking Through The Fire | Jan 23 | KINGSTON — Artists include Alyssa Delbaere-Sawchuk, Marc Meriläinen, Shannon Thunderbird, The North Sound, and John Hupfield and virtual guests including Elder and poet Dr. Duke Redbird, the Northern Cree pow wow group, Inuit Throat Singers Kendra Tagoona & Tracy Sarazin, and others.
Sweet! Chocolate and French Baroque Music | Jan 21 | LONDON — The moment cacao arrived for the first time in Europe from South America, it became all the rage! Spanish chocolatiers quickly proved themselves to be the masters in the art of processing that bitter bean into a much sought-after delicacy. Even Versailles succumbed to the charm of the delicious flavour of chocolate. This concert will tell how chocolate journeyed to Europe from the New World to become a true success story.
Celtic Celebration | Jan 27 | STRATFORD — The SSO, together with the Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir, draws on the great Welsh tradition of singing hymns and songs born of the mountains and valleys of Wales. From its inception, the Choir has performed in churches, cathedrals and concert halls throughout Ontario, Québec and New York State.
Alliance String Quartet | Jan 19 | TORONTO — The Alliance quartet will be performing the gems of string quartet repertoire, Ravel’s quartet, Beethoven’s energetic op.18 no.6, along with Canadian composer Hintersteininger’s beautiful work named “The Growing Season” for string quartet.
